WordPress Administrator

Location: Remote (Must be east coast based)

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

• Use a variety of programming languages to create user-friendly web pages with mobile-based feature
• Maintain and improve company websites
• Update navigation menus, web pages, and blog templates
• Test and implement WordPress theme and plug-in updates; install, update, and ensure third-party tracking scripts are firing properly
• Ensure all pages follow accessibility standards
• Work in a multidisciplinary team with other professionals such as back-end developers and web designers
• Design and build the website front-end
• Integrate and style HubSpot forms
• Optimize our website for maximum speed/Google Core Web Vitals
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges, troubleshoot content design issues
• Consistently follow our brand guidelines
• Make suggestions for better solutions to problems, gather feedback from users and customers, and leverage A/B testing of web pages to enhance the UX
• Keep abreast of the latest and emerging technologies

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

• Three years of proven experience as a WordPress developer – (Elegant Themes Divi and Divi builder experience highly preferred)
• Minimum three years of experience working with PHP / MySQL
• Excellent knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques Experience with accessibility troubleshooting and resolution
• Experience using Google Console (aka Webmaster tools), Google Tag Manager, and site audits
• Knowledge of technical SEO principles
• Knowledge of schema markup, AMP, personalization, and dynamic content
• 3 years of experience with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, and jQuery.
• Mobile-first and accessibility user experience mindset
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
• Knowledge of graphics software such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, etc.
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• BA in Computer Science or 3 years related work experience

Nice-To-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or similar or related field preferred
• Minimum five years of prior marketing experience preferred; B-to-B experience in the Audio Visual or Technology field desirable
• Demonstrated experience working with technology partners
• Experience with multi-lingual websites
