Job Title: Sr Data Engineer
Location: Remote
The Data Engineer, or Data Systems Engineer, will work in a cross-functional agile team and is responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines and architectures. Duties will include coordinating with business owners, designing and building relational data systems, testing for and mitigating errors, and updating systems to accommodate changes in company needs.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembling large, complex, and disparate sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
- Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
- Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and MS SQL technologies
- Building relational data systems and data pipelines to support analytical tools and visualizations, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics
- Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues?
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Relational Database Systems
- Experience with ETL Tools like SSIS and Informatica, AWS Glue is a plus
- Familiar with Web API and Rest API data extraction
- Familiar with SSAS multi-dimensional and tabular models
- Proficient in SQL, Python is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred
- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership
- Must be team oriented with strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required
- Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative, and be a logical thinker
