Title: Purchasing Agent
Location: Oldsmar FL
Shift: Monday – Friday 8-4:30
Duration: Contract to possible hire
SOW: Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Purchasing Agent coordinates activities involving procurement of goods, raw materials, components, office supplies, parts and equipment. Works with vendors for product and service information for pricing, availability and delivery.
Job Duties:
- Support Production schedules
- Tracking and Scheduling materials/ equipment for timely delivery of goods
- Communication between departments
- Evaluate material cost against product cost, while looking for opportunities to reduce material costs.
- Support Sales Team with estimates
- Maintaining good standing relationships with vendors
- Tracking purchase orders and expediting when necessary
Requirements:
- 2ys min. experience with Nutraceuticals, Pharmaceuticals, Dietary Supplements or Food and Beverage fields
- Ability to actively listen, critical thinking, negotiating, problem solving
- Computer Savvy with strong Office Product knowledge
- Good Phone skills working with vendors, clients and internal teams
