Position Summary:
Anistar is seeking experienced Fiber Technicians for a contract opportunity, to help with the troubleshooting of fiber optic cable. The ideal candidate will under general supervision, maintain a highly analytical and problem solving mindset while working as a team player. We are looking for individuals who will pay attention to detail and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
Basic Scope of Work Includes:
Testing, and troubleshooting of Fiber optic cables. Knowledge of Telecom systems & wireless solutions. BICSI cert (current or past) a plus but not needed.
Skills Required:
- Experience working with pre terminated fiber trunks “ pulling, dressing, and plugging in MTP connectors”
- Must be able to terminate loose tube fiber with field polished connectors and use the appropriate test equipment
- OSP experience is a plus
The ideal Fiber Technician candidate will possess the following:
- BICSI Certifications
- Experience trouble shooting fiber using an OTDR
- Experience testing fiber using a Fluke tester
