Position Summary: Anistar is seeking experienced Fiber Technicians for a contract to permanent opportunity, to help with the troubleshooting of fiber optic cable. The ideal candidate will under general supervision, maintain a highly analytical and problem solving mindset while working as a team player. We are looking for individuals who will pay attention to detail and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
Basic scope of work includes:
- Testing/Troubleshooting of Fiber optic cables.
- Knowledge of Telecom systems & wireless solutions.
- BICSI cert (current or past) a plus but not needed.
- Must have experience with fusion splicing – mid span, lid splicing, buffer, and loose tube splicing.
Skills Required:
- Experience working with pre terminated fiber trunks
- pulling, dressing, and plugging in MTP connectors
- Experience fiber using a Fluke tester
- Experience trouble shooting fiber using an OTDR
- OSP experience is a plus
- Must be able to travel outside the Phoenix area 25% of the time
