Job Title: Audio Visual (Onsite) Technician
Location: Boston, MA
Position Summary: Anistar is seeking experienced audio visual technicians/installers to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of audio visual cable and hardware. Our client has been an industry leader in audio visual systems and structured cabling for information communications technology (ICT) for over 25 years, specializing in healthcare, commercial, education, mission critical and government facilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Crimp, solder, wire pull, label, terminate, and other technical tasks associated with A/V systems.
- Assist with and perform installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
- Assist with mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring.
- Add digital signage endpoints on existing signage systems.
- Install display (projector/flat panel), screens and check for simple functionality.
- Must have strong computer skills related to the Audio-Visual industry.
- Ability to travel and work at various job sites is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years’ experience leading the installation of AV systems for commercial projects.
- Performed network troubleshooting to diagnose static and dynamic IPs.
- Demonstrated experience making modifications in the field to Crestron, Extron, and Biamp systems, including minor programming.
- Working knowledge of AV components-switches, cameras, codecs, control panels and rack configuration.
- Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers including all Microsoft products.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.
- The ability and willingness to regularly travel to worksites. Must have valid Driver’s License.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Be able to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feet; lifting equipment, tools and materials and loading and unloading equipment weighing a minimum of 75 pounds.
